NIRAMALA
    Conducted every year on the last Friday of Thulam (M.E) probably in the second week of November .  Special Poojas, Decorations with hundreds of Flower garlands Lights and Illuminations take place. There will be grand  procession with elephants, Panchavadyam & Melam,  other features are Ottanthullal, Nadaswara Kacheri Prabhashanam & Devotional Songs.  A lot of eminent artists of various instruments  partake at Niramala functions.  The Temple Committee  conduct Niramala with aid of the Devaswom contribution.
    On the next day of Niramala, Vettekkaran Kavu “Chuttuvilakku” is conducted.  Grand procession “Deeparathana”, decoration with flower gardens will be there in a befitting manner.  “Katha Prasangam”/Bakthi Prabhashanam etc. are specially conducted.  At the end the celebrations and poojas oracle come with the divine sword and bless the devotees.  The verbal expression of the oracle bless devotees  at the end of Niramala.
UTSAVAM
    Eight days.   “KODIYETTAM” seven days before “THIRUVONAM STAR” in “Meenam”.  The Kshethram Samudayam (Pandal Mana) and “Tanthri” (Kunnathu Mana) lead the function on Kodiyettam days.  In addition to the Poojas there will be grand procession with elephants & vadyam.  It is during these days only Devi & Devan take part together on elephants, circling around.  Entertainment  items will be there on Utsavam days.  The seventh day “Palli Vetta” remembering Devi’s and Upadeva’s readiness to keep all evils away from the citizens, will be conducted.
AARAT ON 8TH DAY OF UTSAVAM
    In Theertha Kulam:    Devan & Devi are led to the tank.  With all divine Manthras and Poojas the bath of both the (idols) are conducted by “Thanthri” and Santhi’s of the Temple .  Thousands of people in and around find accommodation in the grove surrounding the tank and take bath along with the deities.  Even  people from outside states also come to the temple specially on the days of “UTSAVA”.
    The God/Goddess are devotionally brought to the sreekovil.    PARAYEDUPPU Paddy, flowers,coins. “MALAR” “AVIL” are the things devotees bring in front of the two “KODIMARAMS” Parayeduppu is conducted.  Afterwards procession held with Vadyam and elephants around the temple 21 times.
    Every one get  “Manjal” Prasadam.   Adorning with prasadam, devotees follow the procession praying with devotional songs.  No houses are to be approached for paddy or other articles.  But devotees bring hundreds of paddy bags.   In the presence of “Samudayam” and Kunnath Bhattathiri “KODIYIRAKKAM” is held.  Devan & Devi is led to the Sree Kovil and final “RITUAL  KALASAM” is offered.
